We are excited to announce the newest member of our clinical team, Dr. Valerie Hauser. Dr. Hauser earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Franklin Pierce University in Goodyear, Arizona. Her focus on sports injury rehabilitation, her appreciation for complex issues, and her ability to seek solutions “outside the box” make her a great fit at 1st Choice.
According to Dr. Hauser, “The best part about 1st Choice Sports Rehab is the unique combination of the individual doctor’s expertise, the clinical cooperation, and the opportunity to learn from each other for the benefit of the patients.”
The addition of Dr. Hauser will give our patients access to physical therapy conveniently located in our office. Her unique skill set provides an excellent compliment to the services currently available for 1st Choice patients.
Her post graduate training and certifications include:
- Myokinematic, Postural Respiration, and Pelvis Restoration through the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI).
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- Full body certified Fascial Distortion Model provider
- Structure and Function Dry Needling
- Dry Needling for Lumbopelvic & Lower Extremity Conditions through the Spinal Manipulation Institute
For those unfamiliar with the Postural Restoration Institute, you can learn more in Dr. Hauser’s article about the PRI. This system of analysis and treatment helps recognize and remove long established patterns of posture and/or movement that inhibit optimal performance. Postural Restoration (PR) is actively used by professional teams to insure optimal performance and efficiency on the field. 1st Choice Sports Rehab is one of the first offices in the Atlanta area to offer this system of analysis and treatment to the public.
Originally from Farmington New Mexico, she and her husband Andrew moved to Atlanta in January 2016 . She enjoys the variety of outdoor activities as well as the diversity of restaurants available in Atlanta. “I’m a foodie at heart, and I enjoy all types of food, but I’m still looking for that perfect Mexican restaurant.”
Dr. Hauser and her husband Andrew enjoy paddle boarding, hiking and most other things outdoors with their two dogs, Leo and Trevor.
